By Jo Cullen

English had a butcher's shop on the Broadway and used to deliver orders by horse and cart and then by van in the 1920s.

William English was the father of Hubert and Lewis. Hubert English was my grandfather.

I have a some photographs and information about the family. I think the brass lights from this vehicle may be in our loft!

Also I am sure we were related to the Gigney family, who I think were ironmongers in Wickford?
